LowScreen · Last updated: October 12, 2026

In short: LowScreen has no account, no ads and no tracking. Anonymous usage statistics are only collected if you accept them, and you can turn them off anytime. Your answers, your tree, your settings and your history stay on your iPhone. We can't see which apps you block or your screen time.

Who we are

LowScreen is published by Thibault Demars. For any question about your data: contact@thibaultdemars.com.

Data stored on your device

The following is stored only on your iPhone, in the app's storage, and is never sent to us:

Screen Time

Blocking relies on Apple's Family Controls, Device Activity and Managed Settings APIs. With your permission, iOS only gives LowScreen opaque tokens standing for the apps you pick: the app cannot tell which apps they are nor read your detailed usage. This data stays on the device, is shared with no one and is never used for advertising.

Subscriptions and purchases

Payments are handled by Apple; we never receive your payment details. To check your subscription, the app uses RevenueCat, which receives the purchase information sent by Apple (product, date, status) tied to an anonymous identifier generated by the app. No name, email or phone number is shared.

Usage statistics (optional)

Only if you accept them (onboarding, or Account › Anonymous usage statistics), the app sends usage events to Appwin, our analytics provider acting on our behalf: screens visited, onboarding steps, subscription screen interactions and purchases (plan, price), crashes, pact and session events, plus technical data (e.g. app version, iOS version, device model, a random device identifier generated by the app). Never your blocked apps, your screen time, your answers about yourself or your tree's name. No screen recording, no advertising identifier, no cross-app tracking. Legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time in Account; events that were not yet sent are then deleted. Purpose: fixing bugs and improving the app. Nothing is sold or used for advertising.

Notifications

Notifications (for example "10 minutes left", end of a focus session, daily reminder, pact milestones) are scheduled locally by your iPhone. If you allow notifications, the app also registers your device's push token with Appwin so we can occasionally send you a notification (tips, news, offers) from our server; the token is used for nothing else. Turning notifications off in iOS Settings stops them.

What we don't do

Retention and deletion

Your data stays on your device while the app is installed. Deleting the app erases all of it. While a pact is running, iOS prevents deleting the app: breaking the pact (Blocking tab) or waiting for it to end makes deletion possible again.

Your rights

Since we hold no personal data about you outside your device, most requests (access, deletion) are handled by deleting the app. For purchase data or usage statistics, write to contact@thibaultdemars.com and we will handle your request with RevenueCat or Appwin (access, deletion). You may also contact your data protection authority.

Children

LowScreen is intended for people aged 13 and over and does not knowingly collect data about children.
